Golden Neutral Date Night Makeup Tutorial

Matt (My Boyfriend) and I decided to have a date night on Friday night. One of my birthday presents was a gift certificate to Earls so we decided to go a little fancier and try it out. It was a really nice night. I had the chicken brie sandwich with fig jam and Matt had the kung pow chicken rice bowl.
Since it was a little bit fancier than we usually go I decided to try out a golden neutral eye using my fave BH cosmetics palette.
Here is my tutorial on how to do it 🙂 I’m proud I got it all in in under 5 minutes.

How to cover ACNE

I’m sure many of you are sufferers of the red skin dots blessed to us by genetics, puberty and or hormones in general.
I have always had bad skin and to be honest I thought by the time I reached the age I’m at now I’d be in the ‘clear’ so to speak. This definitely is not the case and let me tell you it sucks so bad!
Ive been to doctors and been on many different medications. I found birth control to be the most effective but found it stopped working over time plus I don’t really want to be on the pill for too long. In addition It made my period last longer and made it more painful. I am looking into other forms of birth control for the purpose of birth control but I’m trying other things for my skin.

ANYWAY…

since I have not found anything for my skin I’m stuck with reoccurring acne and scarring. I’ve tried many different methods to cover it up and at the moment this video sums up how I do it. It is one of my longer videos but I wanted it to be detailed and tried to get a lot of information into it for you.

Beauty Don’ts TAG

So there is a tag that has been going around and I find it hilarious. If your not familiar with ‘TAG’ videos they are basically a video in which you ‘tag’ other youtubers to do the same video. There are so many out there and they are fun to do and to watch. This one is the beauty don’ts TAG. The video is a video explaining all of the things you should not do with your makeup/beauty products. Some videos just explain what not to do and others treat it like a tutorial. I decided to do it as if I were doing a tutorial. Its in no way serious and I thought it would be fun….and I was right. It was extremely fun but really hard to keep a straight face the whole time.

DIY Makeup Brush Cleaning Board

This DIY makeup brush cleaning board is so amazing! I got this idea from SecretLifeOfABioNerd on Youtube.
The Idea was thought of after the Sigma brush cleaning mitt came out. Its a good idea and I like that its a mitt but the con is that its 40$. That’s way to much to even spend on that IMO.
This is what the Sigma brushes look like:

Looks pretty cute but again…$40.00
I’ve put together a DIY video on how to make your board.
All you need is a plastic clipboard (or similar) and a glue gun with glue.

Body Shop Haul

I got an email from the body shop this morning about their one day sale. It was today only and it was 50% off ALL the makeup. I needed new face stuff so it could not have been any more convenient.
I made the special trip to the mall to check it out. The staff were amazing and the manager helped me pick out exactly what I needed. I found a cream foundation that I will try out along with a loose powder.

The Marcelle loose translucent powder has been making my face look a little to pink and really making my acne show through. The powder is more yellowy so I’m hoping this will work out.

Of course that was not all I got. It’s 50% off!!!
I didn’t go too crazy but I did get lip gloss. I don’t actually own translucent like lip gloss. I got peach and watermelon. The peach is pretty clear but the watermelon gives a hint of colour. I have tried these already and they are not terribly sticky or gummy. They smell nice with out being too sugary smelling…. If that even makes sense

My next purchase is a blush. At the moment I don’t have a nice sheer like blush. On the recommendation of the manager I got this one. I swatched it on my hand but its hard to see 🙂

The last thing I purchased, which I’m most excited about is the illuminator! I’ve been eyeing the benefit high beam highlighter but I’ve had trouble coughing up the 26$ for it. This one was 14.50$ regular price and I got 60% off!!! I decided to try it.

I’m really excited to try out all if these products and ill keep you posted in how I liked them 🙂
